Definitely a great, fun film!  It was a bit campy, but in a good way!  There was a part that made me teary-eyed and sniffly, and I never cry during a movie! XD

Too bad we couldn't bring Ringman's wife, as she would've enjoyed it!

We're planning to see it on Monday. Plz no spoilers thanx

In other news, I got semi-drunk from a glass of vodka at my sister's house. First, I felt like I was underwater, then 20 minutes later, I was tipsy whenever I walked around.

I'm officially a lightweight.

I guess I need to see Guardians of the Galaxy one of these days too since I'm hearing how good it is from everyone that saw it.

You know, hearing MM7's US "Die Wily" ending with MM8's US voice acting would be a thing of absolutely beauty.

Suddenly I'm thinking he should say "Die Wily, you don't belong in this world!" in that voice....

Current playthrough: Chrono Trigger and God Eater Ressurection

The beginning, right?

Nope.  Maybe a little, but not even close.  We rarely weep for humans.

We chose to go with the 2D showing due to budget and because I get headaches from 3D showings.  Also, unless the screen is really, really large and the 3D is done well, it doesn't work on me due to my decreased vision in my right eye.

Good thing I got to see it before babysitting tomorrow.

Mabel is laying on my bed beside me and purring. :3

Time for me to curl up with her.

Captain America 2 is definitely going to be an insta-buy. I actually expected that to be the definitive Marvel movie, but I guess not anymore.

>Going to 3D movies

I mean, unless the movie was specifically made for 3D its not worth it.

Color gets all [tornado fang]'d up too I think.

Definitely not worth it if you're visually-impaired! 8D

Though, when I saw ST:ID (...what an unfortunate acronym), it was in 3D at the Imax.  No headache then and the 3D looked good.  For me, it depends on the screen and if it was originally shot in 3D, though not being able to see well out of my right eye certainly plays a role.

Hell, I spent all of GotG with my head turned to the right so I could watch with only my left eye, as my right wasn't focusing like it should.

Yeah I think my slight vision problems may be a contributing factor.

I was really disappointed with ST:ID, personally. I didn't really feel any sort of exhilaration from it and the story was weak.

Never get involved with STDs, kids... or ST:ID.

My main problem with ST:ID was that Cumberbatch didn't HAVE to be Khan. The movie would've actually been really good if he wasn't Khan. He could've actually been one of the other crew members of the Botany Bay and it would have been that much more believable. But nope. NOSTALGIA-SPUNK in your face.

100 more pages until this thread is locked.

And my only experience with Star Trek was the movie my Ex took me too, and I didn't find it all that interesting.  And the part about time traveling Spock weirded me out...does that happen a lot in Star Trek?
