While, yeah, I figured there would be lots of Omega vs. Zero, in all honesty, there were more group pics and variety than I thought there would be. And heck, there was only one Omega in the top 4. So it wasn't all one-sided entries.
Results post; won this week by Khuntry.
Week 4 Deadline is back to a Monday, and still supposed to focus on Zero 4. Although, jgonzo mentioned that there will be one more week of competition next week, with "a surprise twist." It was produced specifically for the comic's circulation in Comic Bom Bom back in the nineties. Haven't seen it anywhere else, so this might be a shot in the dark.
I wish. Can't say I've seen it anywhere myself, nor do I own it.

Week 2 results are up, and Gosha Dole took home the prize for his vectorish Zero and Burble Hekelot. hj and kaigetsudo round out the Top 3. Yes, apparently this week they decided to give a top 3 rather than 2. Congrats to those who got their special mentions as well.
The only major update to this week's contest is that the deadline is extended an extra day. Due to Monday being the Memorial Day holiday in the US, this week entries are due on Tuesday, June 1st. Still at 9 AM PST. Still mostly focused on Zero 3, but any Zero-related pics are welcome.

I had a feeling most people would either focus on Elpizo or the death of X scene for Zero 2 week. And I was correct. So I went this route instead. I'm still planning on tweaking this a bit in the coming days, from touching up certain areas, to adding more flame, etc., but this is the version I had to submit to make deadline for the Unity contest this week:

Thanks for getting to that before I could, borock. Congrats to Audrey/Audio Erf for winning! There were plenty of other super cool entries.

It just has to deal with something in the game that's the focus of that particular week. So again, like my first example, you can't draw Zero 4 characters until it's Zero 4 week.

Well, there were also people like me who had no access to the .lzh files on the Japanese site, so we had to send it in without any choice of color. I am happy to finally see my entry up there on the site now, with of course the standard blue box they plastered mine on. Thanks for linking that on your dA journal, dragontamer.
So, looks like there were 141 total entries, and most of them used the Japanese-sized box. Some pretty cool ones from what I can tell off of those tiny thumbnails. Also some quite laughable ones. Oh man, Hulk Wily fist bumping Hulk/Grimace Dr. Light, so full of win!

After the success of the Mega Man 10 Contests and recent Mega Man Zero T-Shirt contest, Capcom-Unity is holding yet another fanart contest.
Starting this week, and continuing for another 3, all you have to do is draw something relating to a specific Zero game. Unless there is some twist, it probably will just go in order, with this week focusing on the first Zero game. So in other words, resist drawing some Neige this week, everyone.
Each week, one winner will take home a copy of Udon's Mega Man Zero Official Complete Works and a copy of the Mega Man Zero Collection when it releases on June 8th. Judging won't be public this time around, it'll all be handled by Capcom reps.
Again, to enter, you have to have a Unity account. Just PM jgonzo a link to your art, with the subject "Mega Man Zero Fan Art: Week _____" and a short description of your piece.

I'm not one to care about speed runs all that much, but after all this time I still see nobody posting Endless Attack totals. So I guess I might as well start that out. Course as soon as I start doing better, the leaderboard keeps rising. Just wish some of those stupid fake totals that have been there since the first 20 minutes of it's release would be taken off the board.
So as of right now, my best is 366. *Shakes fist at conveyor belts over open pits*
Challenges I'm up to a mediocre 93.5% right now. Just hard mode no damage challenges for all major bosses (minus Blade and Weapon Archive) + Senior Perfecto (which will never happen) to conquer.

Sorta mixed still. Against the Pressure stood out above everything. Abandoned Memories was pretty good. I wish there was a lyric-less version of One and Only, I loved how they used the RM Killer mixes for that. But arrrgh, it was keyboard and synth overload!!!! Not rock enough!!! On first listen at least, I think the RM9 AST had more flavor and punch than this, unfortunately. But of course I'll be listening over and over most of the day to see if it grows a little more.

Over at TMMN, Heat Man has posted a new Inti update featuring 4 samples from the IST for our listening pleasure. All of the samples do have a decidedly rock flavor, although to what extent is arguable. Nitro Rider has a distinct feel like it has been intentionally done in Complete Works PS Remix style. Solar Inferno tries to get down and dirty, but in my mind it comes off as pretty messy in the beginning and not as heavy or cool sounding a remix as I was hoping for. Something with that guitar just sounds off in a big way. Decent, but nothing special.
The star of the samples is Against the Pressure, which has a very polished, upbeat, and well played guitar sound. The pacing actually makes it feel like it fits the Rockman 5 Darkman/Blues Castle stage vibe, now that I think about it. And then finally, there is a little bit of the ending theme, Last Exit. Personally, I could probably do without the vocals, but it sounds fairly good.
So go take a listen; we've got about 10 days before the CD releases!
