Items that made my jaw drop:
  • Putting the flight ticket on the screen and getting a path description
  • Taking a photo with the gesture
  • Watching youtube in an ordinary newspaper
  • Playing a racing game using a microphone and a piece of paper
  • Picking up an item from the paper and dropping it onto his stationary computer
  • Altering a pie chart he had picked up from a real paper and dropped onto his virtual paper

The wall drawing, Google Maps and Internet newspaper parts made me s*** bricks... This guy is just too awesome.

Also, the Pong on the Boston Metro part cracked me up.

No, I made pikachu hear htings incorrectly such as, pick up fruit meant, use thunderbolt on caterpei. Yes ive played it, and its pretty....so-so, though i doubt it could be a real game at all.

It's a great idea, but that'd need some godlike image recognition software to back it up. I can see things like the newspaper thing working though, although first we need cheap and tiny projectors

Those were demonstrations. It was probably made so the camera could recognize that exact US map from that exact newspaper. Some other map probably wouldn't have worked. Same goes for the pie chart and a lot of other stuff.

You either need great software or add some mark to the recognizable items like QR Codes or something.
