For me X is a little too weak mentally. After so many years, and so many fights, he's still "please don't be a meanie, I don't want to hurt you". He should know already that nobody on his way really cares about his peaceful solutions. Considering his unlimited potential he should be a high general or something.
Then we have Zero. "You [acid burst] me, I shred you to pieces". It's a war dammit, you have to be strong.

I think that has to do with his memory getting axed.  Axl ran like hell in X7, after all.  But he does have the urge to take the fight to the baddies and, given the appropriate lead, follows through quickly.  Model A's the same way.

I still kinda smile a little at the Buckfire dialogue:

Yeah that's true.  Hmm now I wonder how Albert got Axl's data in the first place.

I can't stress enough how much I love this drawing...

Oh, and X.  Zero is written better, IMO, but that's because the writers don't really do all that much with X.  With proper writing, I think you can do more with X's character than Zero's.

Yes X can be a better charater with proper writing, again X is only less popular than Zero because of how Capcom made him.  I mean X7 would have been way better if X wasn't such a emo wussy coward, if Axl and all the other characters had better voice acting, and develop more on Axl's story and character, not to mention way better game play.

That would be good depends on the time pasted between ZXA and the new ZX and you can have a even more mature Vent, Aile and Ashe plus Grey assuming reploids age physically or get's a new chassie but chances are it would now because Thomas just became evil, of course the new chosen ones could be more mature but then again you never know.

Also: Let Vent and Aile keep their long hair and give the user of Model Z short hair. Then X and Zero switched their wigs.

Yes on that a long brown hair X would be awsome.

Didn't Model Z stay behind to cover for Grey/Ashe? That would be an interesting twist where you have to relocate Model Z in the ruins of Ouroboros. That would be a nice level actually.

Yeah in Command Mission he can transform into bosses instead of just Mecaniloids his size or smaller (I've heard some places it was his size or bigger I'm not sure but I'll say smaller since he couldn't transform into bosses before).
