So if you're like me, and love Yoshihiro Iwamoto's iconic X series mangas, you'll be eternally frustrated by the difficulty in actually getting your hands on scanlations. X1 is the easiest to find, but is incomplete- and X2 and 3 are real hard to find since nobody bothered to preserve them properly.

That said, X4 never got translated to begin with. But that has now been corrected by Azure Wind Productions, who not only translated X4 in it's entirety, along with bonus material of the X3 mangas, (which acted as a bridge to X4), but plan to also re-translate X1-3. So look forward to those, and in the meantime, check their work out here!

Rockman Series / Mega Man X5 improved edition
« on: February 14, 2018, 06:24:26 PM »
I know we aren't supposed to talk about rom hacks, but site's dead enough and I figure this is noteworthy enough.

https://www.romhacking.net/hacks/3711/

Apparently this is a thing. Not that old either. This magnificent bastard has gone through X5's code and basically, made an "improved" edition with a few changes, chief among them- GETTING RID OF ALIA

Aside from that, there's also stuff like sprite fixes to the "injured" X and Zero sprite, and other small quality of life changes, but man i figure this is noteworthy if nothing else because DING DONG THE WITCH IS DEAD X5's Alia interruptions are finally gone!

Gaming / Fight Knight (Kickstarter)

So I recently saw this and backed it on Kickstarter and I thought I'd share, because it seemed fun.

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1139574598/fight-knight

It's a hybrid first person dungeon crawler and action type thingamajig. With the gimmick being you punch things.

Everything in fact. Even NPC's

It already reached it's (pretty low) Kickstarter goal, but there is a Demo you can try to get a feel for it

Robin Williams, the comedian and Academy Award-winning actor who imbued his performances with wild inventiveness and a kind of manic energy, died on Monday at his home in Marin County, Calif. He was 63.

The county sheriff’s office said in a statement that it “suspects the death to be a suicide due to asphyxia.” An investigation was under way.

This hurts. Robin Williams was one of my favorite actors. I mean, he was really quite unique in his style and act.

also, 63, [tornado fang], that's pretty young

Gaming / Bombshell - New game by 3D Realms and Interceptor
« on: May 17, 2014, 10:48:47 PM »
So remember that all outta gum website?

Well it doesn't exist anymore.

Instead, it SEEMS like what was going to be Duke Nukem Mass Destruction, has turned into Bombshell. a cyborg chick with a flophawk.

Bombshell Reveal Trailer

No doubt 3D Realms is pushing back any new Duke game due to their ongoing lawsuit with Gearbox over who owns Duke.

What's interesting though, is that the character of Bombshell is actually based off of a Duke Nukem spin off character that was supposed to appear in Forever, and get her own launch if she was popular. She was eventually cut and never really spoken of again, but well, here she is.

From "Bombshell" to BOMBSHELL!

One can only imagine that if they win that lawsuit they will likely cross the two over and put them in the same universe as originally planned, but who knows.

heres some screens.

Reisse, a Santa Ana resident, was walking in a crosswalk when he was struck and killed at the end of a police chase Thursday.

Reisse's father, who lives in Virginia, said his son moved to Southern California about a year ago. Reisse co-founded Oculus VR in Irvine, a company known for its virtual reality headsets for immersive gaming.

Zero / Just how much did Zero remember by the end of Zero 4?
« on: January 01, 2013, 11:00:02 PM »
Like the title says.

As soon as he got the Saber in Zero 1, his memory started coming back to him little by little, and by the end of Z1, although he couldnt remember it exactly, he was still able to tell from their fight that Copy X was far weaker than X was. (physically AND mentally)

In Z2, Phoenix Magnion uses that attack where he summons from Zero's past Colonel, Bit, Agile, and Vile. I mean, I get that there's a difference between what he REMEMBERS, and what is in his brain but locked away in his subconscious, but, did he actually remember them? or was Phoenix merely drawing from Zero's brain data, which regardless of what he remembers, no doubt has data related to them?

By Zero 4, when Ciel mentions Area Zero, he mentions it's a "painful reminder of a war long past", which, always seemed to me like he was implying he remembered the Colony Drop. And of course, his [tornado fang] you Weil speech, where he says he never called himself a hero, etc etc.

So, just HOW much of his memory had Zero regained by the end of Z4? I don't think he ever regained it fully, but surely he got some of it back.
