So either Game Freak are RosenkreuzStilette fans, or we have a new official pronunciation for Arceus.

Don't forget magnetic Pokemon. Honestly, they could probably just reskin Magnet, make it "loved by certain Pokemon" and call it a day

As a Magnezone fan, I would love that.

Safe bet it'll be used for Ninetales. But I hope they make it so it'll evolve Eevee into Glaceon. The location based evolutions are kinda dumb.

Just got my watch. The plastic casing is a little banged up. But the watch itself is fine. I was expecting worse, honestly. What's funny, though, is there are scuffs and scratches on the watch by design. At first I thought they messed it up, but once I saw the instructions, I realized they're there on purpose.

I have Woolly World on Wii U, so the extra stuff in the Poochy edition doesn't warrant a purchase for me. (The amiibo I would get though.) But if you're not a Wii U owner, I highly recommend you pick this version up. Woolly World is the best Yoshi game since the original on SNES, possibly even better. Same goes for Mario Maker, unless the options they took out are major.

I'm liking the idea of a Pikmin sidescroller. It sounds like something an indie developer would come up with.

But I was most excited to see Picross 3D Round 2 is out. I was jonesing for new Picross for ages.

The 360 version seems to have been out for a little while now. I actually turned on my 360 for the first time in a year, checked the shop (which barely gets updated cause Xbox One took all the focus) and it was there.

Also Recore is another joint project with another company. Don't recall their name, but they're made up of people who worked on the Metroid Prime games.

I only have a few fragments left, so I've hit a lot of the juicy bits now. Two twists really resonated with me. One is very similar to one in Danganronpa 2, which meant I possibly should've seen it coming, but its impact is still powerful. The other twist just solidifies that D Team is the best.

I found quite a few of the puzzles so far to be pretty easy. One is probably brutal if you don't know math. I only got walled on two parts of Control, and they were both for dumb reasons on my part. I regrettably had to look up the answer for one, and yeah it was something I should've been able to figure out.

The first part I got through no problem my first time, but I have died to it on other runs. I think it's because of over correcting too much in between the spikes. If you do the dashes probably you get through perfectly every time.

Second part, Batt bomb. Nuff said.

However that only applies to Beck, I feel. I started playing Ray today. Battalion's stage gets a bit trickier when you can't get rid of explosive barrels from afar. And the fight is a lot harder cause if you play it too safe, your health will run out. But if you go ham on him, he'll hit you before you can absorb from him.

I beat Ray mode last week. I take some of the above back now that I know a bit more about her gameplay. While some barrels can be taken care of by the third slash from a distance, the best way to handle a bunch of them is to bonk into them with your dash. You have a bit of invulnerability after you bounce off, just like Mic's form for Beck.

I still found the fight with Batt a bit tricky. You have to play super duper safe. If you're too close to him when he decides to jump, he'll run into you. It's actually like that with a bunch of the bosses. I ended up beating Dyna first cause I game overed on everyone else I tried, and I kept my life count at 2. Avi is actually pretty easy to fight first as well.

I'm kinda disappointed with most of Ray's weapons. Dyna's, Cryo's, and Brand's are barely any different from Beck's. Avi's and Shade's are a nightmare to hit bosses with reliably. And Batt's, while being a long range weapon that Ray desperately needs, is a far cry from how good Beck's is. There's no real game breaker for Ray. The closest is Mic's, which is a drill hookshot that is super cool. But like other strong weapons, its ammo isn't the best.

Got the game today. Beat my first puzzle level. Game definitely does seem more talky than before.

Shelly: I wouldn't call it a glitch. It's just a clumsy way of programming it. The game remembers the last choice you made for each side and gives you the corresponding outcome. You have to manually make each choice, not just watch the resulting cutscene. At least you can fast forward the dialogue.

I ended up getting all those outcomes before proceeding. It gives you so many options, I'm not sure how I want to proceed with the narrative. It's going to be really confusing.

I heard they were gonna patch some of that in a long time ago. Guess they're waiting for this release?

I actually had the PS4 version crash on me last night. I was doing Challenge 36, which is beat every stage back to back on one life. It's as brutal as it sounds. Took me forever to beat it. But one time I got up to Cryo and beat her, and after the results screen I got an error code and was booted to the XMB. No widespread info on PS4 crashes, so it's probably just a freak thing.

I feel Battalion is the best boss to go after first. His stage is easy, the boss fight is easy, and the weapon you get is THE best in the game. Don't argue with that. It's incredibly powerful, and it has low energy cost. It is this game's Metal Blade.

Yeah man, same here. I'm getting really tired of waiting.

Did you order the watch edition? Because it seems people that ordered the standard game got their copy, but the watch editions are being delayed.

Yes. The game hasn't even shipped yet.

Ooh man. That made my day.

Still waiting on my copy of ZTD. Amazon bungled that pretty bad.

Model P was THE speedrun form. Especially in ZXA where they buffed his neutral attack.

Not at all in ZX1. In fact it's never used. HX gets the lion's share for obvious reasons. P is pretty good in ZXA though.

I just realized. When Patch gives you items, the compartment they come from is on its behind. Patch is pooping out health and lives. Upside down.
Am I the only one that just spammed the ice ability during that fight? It slows down Trinity's movement and hits fairly hard.

As for the 'spewing gunk' in the middle part, the trick is to take out the base. Once that happens, you can chill on the upper platforms since the gunk can't reach you at that height.
I'll definitely have to try that.

I was watching a friend play as Ray yesterday. She looks really fun.
Yeah, the part when it's in the middle shooting gunk all over the place. There must be something I'm missing there. I have no idea how to move around it. Thankfully Brand nulls those projectiles. Oddly Avi does not protect you from them.
Just beat the game. Holy [parasitic bomb] the final boss kicked my ass. Is that thing even possible buster only? I didn't stand a chance until I started using Brandish.

Eh, I haven't felt the need for a wall jump in this game. Being able to hang on ledges is plenty for me.

Steam, Chris. You mean Steam. And the reaction there is not surprising at all.

I'm actually really digging the dash mechanic. It makes moving around really swift, and comboing it as a kill move is pretty satisfying. The stat boosts are kinda whatever, though. I don't think they add much.

With Pyro I wasn't looking for cues at all. I just kinda reacted and kept my distance.

I've beaten all 8 numbers now. Brandish's stage, Cryo's boss fight, and the challenge with Seismic form are the only things that really frustrated me so far. Some of the forms are not very good, but that's par for the course in Mega Man. Story is dumb, some of the voices are overacting, Call is supremely underacting, and what little music I hear isn't sticking.

Despite those nitpicks, I'm overall really liking it still.

I didn't have any problem with Pyro, actually. I just kept my distance and shot him constantly. The last part of his stage did kill me a bit too, but that was because I was being impatient.

The other stage I've done so far was Aviator. Reminds me of Propeller Knight quite a bit. I wouldn't recommend doing that stage until you're more familiar with your dash controls.

Overall, I don't think the game is bad by any stretch. Dare I say, I'm having fun. Haters gonna hate.
