X / Re: Best and Worst Armors?
« on: September 15, 2009, 05:54:23 AM »
I can hold up X7's Glide Armor as the ultimate in FAIL because of how utterly stupid it was. I don't recall the charge on the buster for it, but then again I haven't played X7 in freaking YEARS. I've long-sence given the game to Sapphire Knight so i don't even have it anymore to know how horrible it was. The Giga Crush sucked, the Glide was near-useless, i don't even remember what the Helmet did, and the buster just let you charge Boss Weapons(if it had anything else i don't remember).
Really? I thought the glide was useful...
By the way, the Buster part added homing shots to the charge shot (useless, but apparent), and the Helmet attracted nearby items I believe.

Does the X4 Black Zero count as an armor? The only thing that was useful for was cool points...>_>

But if you think H/HX was the one to fix it, you need to get equipped with Xtreme2.  Badly.
Okay, I forgot about Xtreme2. Chillax.
And next time, don't assume I don't have it. Because I do. >_>

W. Shredder completely sucks. It even removes the ability to Dash-cancel your slashes.

Best armor: X2. Double Buster = Instawin
Worst armor: Max (X3). Nothing useful about it except the Up Air Dash, but Mach Dash eclipses it (chargeable, faster, invincibility frames, a Down Air Dash for safety) with the only downside that you can't really control the distance.

Did anyone else notice the gimped Air Dash physics after X3? I'm glad they fixed that later with Model H/Hx, but geez.

Tabs'll work too (I've never used tabs before, but they seems easier from the looks of it).

I'll try to search up tabs then, but if anyone knows a great site, then please share!
Thanks.

X / Sheet music?
« on: September 11, 2009, 09:23:09 AM »
Does anyone know where I can find a good list of sheet music [piano] for Rockman music (preferably earlier X series)?
The thing is I really suck at the piano, so I don't really want to invest a lot of time learning a song only to find out the sheet music was poorly done and sounds nothing like the original.

I can always resort to Youtube some tutorials, but there are some songs that don't have tutorials and others with a lot of mistakes.

Thanks in advance!

(Sorry if this should belong in other thread. Not really sure where else to post it...)

Huh? I thought you could still get hit by the spikes after beating him. Several times, I fought Tornado Man last and Rush Coiled into the blue chippy thing he drops, which resulted in me hitting the spikes and blowing up. Unless you mean post-victory tune.

Either way, he's either invincible during the "weapon get" jump or he magically stops right before touching the spikes.

Common knowledge or not, she didn't do it in her video...

I've only seen Magma Bazooka do 2 damage at close range, disregarding weakness/resistance. Didn't know 3 damage was possible.

Not sure if this has been mentioned yet, but Magma Bazooka at point blank does 2 bars of damage, even on Magma Man himself. If you miss a bullet, you can always pause to erase it. This is a lot faster than Mega Buster when you're fighting Robot Masters that easily diminish your weapon energy (more specifically, Magma Man and Plug Man). Also, it's probably better to start off the Magma Man match with T. Blows instead of shooting first in case you get a double hit by luck (or skill). It's happened to me during some time trials even while pausing between each shot.

And from watching the video, the 1st Wily form took you quite a bit of time. It's a lot easier to hit him consistently by shooting while standing or at the peak of a jump. What I usually do to speed up the process is after the egg rebounds the 1st time, if it rebounds off his jaw, I just jump shoot 2 shots so that at the moment it rebounds, the buster hits it right back at the mouth.

Hope that helps, and good luck. I was considering attempting an All Clear run, but I'm seriously burned out from clearing all the challenges and making "perfect" files...plus, no time on my hands.
