I saw John Wick 2.

It was really damn good. Honestly the trailer doesn't do it justice.

I for one, welcome the return of the action movie.

I guess also the revenge flick. The first one was the purest revenge movie I'd seen in a long time

I dont bother with the 1v1 myself. I like the 3v3. The more the merrier.

Been playing Nefarious. I backed it on kickstarter a while back and its just come out.

Bit rough around the edges, but it's fun. You are the bad guy who kidnaps the princess, and fight the hero in reverse boss fights, which are definitely the highlight

sure seems like damage control with that quick takedown.

That it did, Dark Souls 3 isn't too bad either sadly it's more challenging for Demons Souls and Bloodborne.  O^O
I personally have trouble with DaS3's fashion souls. everything just sort of blends together in a way that makes it hard to stand out. its a similar problem to bloodborne. Where everything technically matches well, but nothing stands out because everything is a variety of dark trenchcoat and dark boots and dark gloves

I love the Mermaid. 8D
She is truly best X girl.

Spectacular Spidey was also simplistic, yet it's one of the best goddamn superhero cartoons out there.

I'm more concerned about the writing quality at this point.

Spectacular Spiderman actually looked pretty good. This looks almost like flash animation. Of the cheap-ish kind

Jesus that looks awful.

I think I'm gonna go back and rewatch my Ruby Spears DVDs with newfound appreciation

Dark Souls 2 had the best potential for fashion AND cosplay

Went to Burlington Coat Factory when my family came over to visit.

Came out with this. And it's surprised me with how comfy and warm it actually is.

Also is it just my local one, or is BCF's men's coat selection actually kind of [parasitic bomb]

General / Re: Forum Stigma or forum dying?
« on: January 02, 2017, 06:50:10 PM »
Forums in general are a dying breed compared to even just 10 years ago. Thank social media for that.

Aside from that though, the foundation this site is built on, Megaman, has been in decline for the past 10 to 15 years, with capcom itself not being what it used to be. So naturally, if there's little franchise activity, (games, not media and march) there will be little forum activity in the megaman areas. That said many of the people here were obviously younger when we joined, with more free time. As time flies, we have less time. Thanks life.

Trump is our new president.

Sonic gets the first good game in years.

The game is made by fans from the community and published officially by SEGA.

This is a pretty good year.
in all fairness, none of those have actually Released YET. (including the first one, that's still in pre-production)

Better bet would be to wait for December 2017. Because a few things going right at the end of 2016 don't make up for the rest of 2016 being [parasitic bomb]

Gaming / Crash Bandicoot Remaster revealed

[youtube]! No longer available[/youtube]

So this has finally been revealed. Thoughts? hopefully optimistic here. so far it seems like a straight 1:1 visual upgrade and that's it, which is all it needed to be.

I admit to being somewhat disappointed the voices are different though. Clany Brown, your Cortex will be missed

"hey, remember bloodborne? well here's some more bloodborne enemies!"

All of Dark Souls 3 is heavily influenced by Bloodborne.

"hey remember painted world? Here it is again!"

Whats wrong with revisiting a popular location, besides we learned ALOT about both this painted world and the old one in this DLC alone.

The problem is it has no identity of it's own. Brume Tower, Elleum Loyce, Shulva, those were all unique and brought something new. they were true expansions.

AoA is just a painted world rehash on a larger scale. And thats fine- but I would have preferred something totally different, considering the rest of the game is already a "greatest hits" series of rehashes and callbacks to previous souls games, including heavy Bloodborne influence that it suffers from.

I really disliked Ashes of Ariandel. Holy [parasitic bomb] could it be any more uninspired and absolutely irrelevant to the main game.

"hey, remember bloodborne? well here's some more bloodborne enemies!"
"hey remember painted world? Here it is again!"
"Hey, remember lady Maria? here's a rehash of that."
"Remember Sif? here, have this turbo dogger that you fought before as a stage enemy but this time fights you near a grave as a boss"

the viking looking enemies were cool though i guess. But I just can't be bothered to finish the damn place.

That said, the arena is somewhat enjoyable.

Ill toss in my 2 cents I guess since I love food. Lily's Victorian Establishment is a real nice pub in Time Square (and Union Square as well) I dont remember their prices off the top of my head, but they tend to have good lunch specials. (stuff like 10 bucks for a quality angus beef burger and a beer, with a side of handcut fries) and they have an open bar. As well as decor to DIE for. Much as it's name implies, it's all made up victorian style.

Outside of the usual parts of the city, Goodfella's Pizza in Staten Island is really damn good. They make a killer Mushroom pie as well as a 4 cheese pie that's absolutely fantastic.

I think we all need to keep expectations in check when it comes to third parties- After all, the Wii-U initially had seemingly decent third party support, but then many of those parties jumped ship when the console was actually released

So anyone been keeping up with Rebirth?

Because Rebirth Superman is some of the best Superman ive seen in a long time. I could practically hear the classic Superman theme when this happened.

Also i really do like Jon and how they are actually exploring Superman with a son.

Not to mention the eventual teamup between Jon and Damian. Oh boy I can't wait for this

Could this be it? Could DC finally be back?

theyve even gone back to a classic round logo reminiscent of the early 70's one, ditching that awful New 52 logo

Not sure how to take it. It's still gimmicky, but not in the Wii/WiiU way.

those snap on controllers seem tiny as hell.

Battery will likely be a [sonic slicer], and i dunno, It's like a weird compromise between console and handheld, but feels a bit too big to be a handheld too.

So far, it seems a bit awkward in general. i know the whole 'take it on the go" thing doesnt quite appeal to me, since when im on the go Im usually doing something.

I guess in the end it just remains to see how good the lineup is, especially the third party lineup. because unless it's got good third party support, I dont think even a Metroid could save it.
