I dunno about text but I'm one of the worst people there is for repeating myself IRL.

Having Fridays off and a bus pass again is pretty great. Went downtown to visit the game store I formally did work placement at today. Not much anything has changed in 2 months. Shame the cute younger guy wasn't working though. He's a little more excitable and chatty. Also today we sold off the couches that have been around for the entirety of my life. Kinda saddening to see the basement so empty. I wonder just how much smaller the new house will be if we had to get rid of so much furniture already.

My parents better remember to take care of my gas, they insisted that I not get gas so they can use their 32 cents off per gallon discount, but I'm almost at empty and they're out somewhere so I can't get gas because I don't have the card that they have to use to get the discount.

I discovered that I need a switchbox that can take both component AND composite cables for all the devices hooked to the TV.

We have a Composite switchbox, but since ive gotten component cables for the 360 and such, well, I figured i'd just get a component switcher and hook it up too, but turns out the TV only has one set of AV ports. So that only holds one device. (currently the old switchbox)

i've had no luck finding a switchbox for both for some damn reason. The only one I had found was no longer available.

Anyone got any ideas?

Hm. There's a few lines in my adaptation that are in need of tweaking, so I may post them and ask for suggestions. The problem is that the context is lost in translation, so they just read like metaphors that came right the [tornado fang] out of nowhere.

Later on, I may post those lines from BoM, see if I can get any input on tweaking them. The little pun rap/song thing still has me puzzled, due to half of the puns being reliant on the Japanese names and possibly culture to make any sense. Localizing this has been a struggle, and stuff regarding "and the moon will shine" (which has no connection to previous dialogue), and a nod to Bulbasaur's Japanese name will need to be changed.

I hate to have to change stuff, and before, I abhorred changes, but when I started actively localizing something, I realized exactly why some things are changed. In audio, more needs to be changed, as there aren't any visuals to help the story along.

Holy crap, I can sympathize with people who localize anime for English-speaking audiences and the crap that they deal with...
